We don’t want to just sound like most people promoting the environment theme, we actually want to be and are designing now for what we think will be new boundaries we will all have to live with like limits on emissions, robust workable recycling or upcycling and the ability to update or upgrade without the obsolete “throwaway” mentality of the past.
As mentioned earlier a lot of what we do is a work in progress but we can state already some of the goals we chase and have designs for.
Talk with usWe want the block to stay on the bottom, no need for endless heavy lifting and bottom disturbances. We in fact want it to enhance the bottom and create habitat. Leave it be and inspect with low impact friendly methods.
We will be capable of adding weight to the block without all the disturbance. For example: You want a bigger boat but not a new mooring? We’ll fix that and leave it where it is and it still doesn’t need to be lifted.
We design so anything we may need to replace can be turned into another product. Anything we throw in a bin will not end up in a hole in the ground but will nicely work in another part of our design. And make it to last in the first place
Plastic is a great product in the marine field. Make it smart and make it from something that can be ground up and reused – we do. It doesn’t have to be an evil word in a marine context.
Even the bits you can see we make them blend in with the environment and if you need to see them we make sure you can when you need to.
Makes sense to us why not call it that?

TapStone will be the flag we wave for the big step up in environment awareness and offering a wide range of marine solutions. Pressure is mounting to do away with old practices underwater but there are few choices when it comes to alternatives.
We intend to offer new ideas from top to bottom, backed up by second to none service and
good communication philosophy can plan it, phase it in, keep you updated and upgraded as things happen.
We sell to our distributors online. Feel free to inquire about being a distributor, we like to support local business.
Talk to us anytime about your closest distributor. We are creating a distributor’s list for the website now
In our heads – yes. We want to fill the market demand but very early days and we need your feedback on that. We make it very clear we listen to customers.
SpliceMaster, due to its characteristics, tends to take a wide range of rope but there are limits. More sizes are certainly on the think table.
As far as we know – yes. In NZ not an issue anytime, anywhere. As long as you are a distributor.
Overseas, we will refer you to our distributor but they will more than likely arrange for a shipment direct to you to save excessive handling costs. Savings for you and the environment.
Thimbles are a protective sleeve and are designed to wear before the rope and maintain a minimum radius for the rope to bend on to achieve full strength.
We think the best test of all is time but have undertaken various short time accelerated point tests and results indicate high wear and life outcomes.
If you run a business that could be a potential distributor we will send you a sample. Feel free to inquire about being a distributor, we like to support local business.
SpliceMaster products never fail to impress in hand.
YES we can! A special colour means a whole lot of special things we have to do so conditions will apply. Some colours are easier than others too.
Just talk to us about it, that won’t cost anything. If you have a big enough market colour could be just the number or we make it your colour.
Like the site says email is the best fit but try the phone if it is your preference. No one is sitting waiting for the phone to ring but emails will be replied to promptly.
The best way to think about that is you won’t get referred, you’ll be talking to operations personnel.
Indeed NO! Part of the design of all our products is keep it simple and your hands tool-free.
SpliceMaster thimbles have been fitted, refitted and tested underwater. As long as the load is off the thimble (without completely disengaging the load), they can be removed, inspected or replaced tool free
There’s a lot of things going on here all at once and some we can’t talk about on our website yet. So we encourage you to contact us if you want to know more!
We will respond to you and quickly. We want a reputation of excellent service, that’s part of our plan.
Email is the best! info@moorengsnz.com
We prefer email mainly because we sometimes live in a place where communications don’t exist yet, so your email will be registered unlike a phone call. Even with a phone call we will revert to email so we can send you pictures. Try the email first if you can….
